Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 October 2026

This policy explains how Rhhyns Academy Pvt Ltd (“Rhhyns”, “we”, “us”) handles your personal data when you use the Rhhyns app (Android and iOS) and this website. Rhhyns is run by Riddhi Doshi Patel and the Rhhyns team.

We collect only what the app needs to work. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or advertising trackers in the app.

1. What we collect

When you create an account and set up your profile:

  • Your email address, used to sign in with a one-time code. There are no passwords.
  • Your name, mobile number, date of birth and city.
  • Whether you are a teen or a parent. This decides which content you see.
  • A profile photo, if you choose to add one.

When you use the app:

  • Mood check-ins: the mood you pick for the day and any note you add.
  • Habits and challenges you track, and the days you complete them.
  • Questions you ask Riddhi, and her answers.
  • Events you register for.
  • Rhhyns Live sessions you join, and the chat messages you send in them.
  • Notifications we send you, and whether you have read them.

Automatically, to keep your account secure and the app working:

  • Your IP address and device type (user agent), stored with each sign-in session.
  • A push notification token and your device platform (Android or iOS), if you allow notifications.
  • Short-lived technical logs kept by our hosting provider to run and debug the service.

Some of this is sensitive: mood notes and questions can be about your mental health, and many of our users are under 18. We treat it with extra care, as described below.

2. How we use it

  • To create your account, sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • To show you the right content for teens or parents, and to save your own progress.
  • To let Riddhi answer your questions and run live sessions.
  • To send you sign-in codes, a welcome email, and notifications you have allowed (for example, when your question is answered or a live session starts).
  • To keep the service safe: limiting repeated sign-in attempts, and holding back live chat messages that mention self-harm or share phone numbers or email addresses so that only Riddhi sees them.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.

3. Who can see your data

  • Your mood entries and notes are private to you. Our team can see only how many entries you have and on which dates — never the mood or the note.
  • Questions you ask with your name are shown with your name. Questions you ask anonymously show no name to anyone in the app, including Riddhi. We still keep a link to your account in our database, never shown in the app, so we can delete the question with your account and act on abuse.
  • In Rhhyns Live, Riddhi sees every chat message. Other participants may see your messages with your first name and initial, or with no name if you post anonymously. Teens and parents never see each other’s messages.
  • Our team can see your account details (name, email, mobile number, date of birth, city, role), when you last signed in, which device platforms you use, and counts of your activity, to support you and keep the community safe.
  • Teen and parent accounts are completely separate. A parent cannot see a teen’s account, and a teen cannot see a parent’s.

4. Services we share data with

We share data only with the providers that run parts of the service for us, and only what each one needs:

  • Cloudflare — hosts our servers, database and file storage, sends our emails, and provides the audio for Rhhyns Live (RealtimeKit). For live sessions it receives an internal ID and your short name. Live sessions are not recorded.
  • Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) / Apple Push Notification service (iOS) — deliver push notifications. They receive your device token and the text of the notification.
  • Expo (EAS Update) — delivers app updates to your device.
  • YouTube (Google) — plays the videos in the app. When you watch one, YouTube may collect data under Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Razorpay — if paid sessions become available, payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or bank details.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

Our providers may process data outside India. When they do, they protect it under their own security and privacy commitments.

5. Device permissions

  • Notifications — to tell you about answers, events and live sessions. You can turn these off in your phone’s settings.
  • Microphone — used only while you are speaking in a Rhhyns Live session.
  • Photos — used only when you pick a profile photo.

The app does not ask for your location or contacts.

6. On your device

Your sign-in session is kept in your phone’s secure storage. The app also keeps a copy of your own data on the phone so it opens quickly; this is cleared when you sign out or delete your account.

7. How long we keep it

  • Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. A sign-in session lasts up to 30 days.
  • Your account data — profile, mood entries, habits, questions, registrations, live chat messages and notifications — is kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete your account.
  • When you replace or delete your profile photo, the old one is deleted.
  • Push tokens are removed when you sign out or when they stop working.

8. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: open Profile → Settings → Delete my account, and confirm with a code sent to your email.

This permanently deletes your account and everything in it: your profile and photo, mood entries, habits, challenges, questions (including anonymous ones), event registrations, live session history and chat messages, notifications and devices. It cannot be undone.

If you cannot use the app, email riddhi.d@rhynsacademy.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will do so within 30 days.

To delete some of your data and keep your account:

  • Profile photo — tap your photo on Profile and choose Remove photo.
  • Event bookings — before the event starts, open it and tap Cancel my booking.
  • Anything else — such as particular mood entries, habits, questions you asked, or live chat messages — email riddhi.d@rhynsacademy.com from the address on your account, saying what you want deleted. We will delete it within 30 days.

Nothing is kept after deletion, except where the law requires us to keep a record.

9. Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to withdraw your consent. You can correct your profile in the app and delete your account yourself; for anything else, email riddhi.d@rhynsacademy.com. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Teens and children

Rhhyns is built for teens and parents. If you are under 18, please use Rhhyns with the knowledge and agreement of your parent or guardian. A parent or guardian who wants a teen’s account deleted can contact us.

We do not show ads to anyone, and we do not track teens’ behaviour for advertising.

11. Security

All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our database is limited to the team members who need it, and teen and parent accounts are kept apart. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

12. This website

rhhynswellbeing.com is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to serve and protect the site. The site sets no tracking cookies of its own. Pages with videos load them from YouTube, which may set its own cookies.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data in a significant way, we will tell you in the app first.

14. Contact us
